Our Why

This endeavor began in 2012. Geremey & Alicia Merritt became engulfed in empowering others and fully emerged in serving children and families by the year 2018. Because of the positive impact we chose to make within our community by implementing our current businesses, areas of expertise, and services, -we decided to give it a name and officially launch Powerful Purpose Outreach Ministries, Inc. (P.P.O.C.).

P.P.O.C is a non-profit organization, formally founded and incorporated in March 2023 with an aim to promote positive self-image and encourage youth, women, and families as a whole to discover their purpose and walk boldly in it.

Powerful Purpose Outreach Ministries, Inc. seeks to provide youth empowerment through the promotion of a positive self-image for all women and children and assisting with alleviating some of the financial hardships of families.

The organization will continue to collaborate with businesses, other organizations, professionals, and the like by means of in-kind donations and grants to provide grooming, clothing, suit/tuxedo rental or donations of professional attire, and or attire for school-related events such as dances, proms, job interviews, school-related organizations, college interviews, and related needs to provide encouragement for children. We also provide work related uniforms, business/business casual attire for those entering the workforce.

Additionally, PPOM will advocate, sponsor, and host enrichment events for families of children with special needs to include, but not limited to: Family events, social events (sensory activities, play dates, dance/prom/social or school-related outings/programs ) and hair styling, makeup, haircuts, and attire for interviews and self-esteem building activities such as events hosted at the newly opening location, Exquisite Events Enrichment Center in Gulfport, MS.

Our Focus

Powerful Purpose Outreach Ministries, Inc. (P.P.O.C.) seeks to collaborate with organizations, businesses, and community members to provide sponsorship for items and opportunities such as: sports equipment, musical instruments, and opportunities such as stage plays, fees associated and materials associated with extracurricular activities and organizations, professional sports events, prom/ dances, hairstyles, haircuts, attire & accessories, etc. for children of families who would otherwise be unable to provide funds due to financial hardship.

Focus Areas

iCare Unit

In collaboration with Exquisite Styles Salon & Boutique, LLC’s Diva-Drop-Off program, Exquisite Beauty on Wheels, as well as community businesses and volunteers; Powerful Purpose Outreach Ministries, Inc. has initiated the I-Care Unit also known as the Exquisite Beauty on Wheels Initiative which focuses on positive self-image as it relates to haircare and hair loss, skincare, makeovers, and cosmetologically related services to promote hair, nail, and skincare- as well as promote self-esteem. P.P.O.M provides community members nail polish, perfume/ fragrances, and more.

In collaboration with Exquisite Styles Salon & Boutique, LLC, PPOM will also continue to revive and distribute gently used wigs/hair replacement units as well as donations of new items, hats, bowties/neckties. scarves, and more to individuals experiencing hair loss, financial hardship, and those recipients of PPOM’s Positive Image and Exquisitely Made Makeovers. Additionally, PPOM will implement this initiative for students in preparation for college, career ready individuals, those re-entering society after incarceration, as well as those reuniting with families after rehabilitation.

Thank You Crew

The Powerful Purpose Outreach Ministries, Inc.

"Thank You Crew” seeks to travel to various ministries, essential workers, volunteer-based organizations, and the like to provide tokens of appreciation for serving our community.

Gifts will include breakfast or lunch catering, gift baskets, holiday themed gifts and trinkets, sweet/savory treats, cards, plaques, certificates, trophies, balloons and other décor as an act of kindness and appreciation for service.

Faith Forward Initiative

In collaboration our community, businesses, and other organizations, we will collect, organize, and distribute casual, business, and formal attire based on the needs of women and children in our community. Our objective is to serve underprivileged youth with attire to attend special events, career fairs and interviews, as well events related to social civic organizations. The PPOM Faith Forward Initiative also serves attire for individuals for entering rehabilitation facilities, re-entering society after incarceration, reuniting after rehabilitation, social events, doctor’s appointments,

and to promote positive self-image and a boost of confidence.

Since 2012, we have provided birthday parties, gifts, gift baskets, Spring/Easter Baskets for children, and provided gifts for children to present to parents for Mother's Day, Father's Day, and other days of celebration! We believe in making positive memories to last a lifetime!

As an update, we now have an intimate venue to host small gatherings of celebration. P.P. O.M.'s Celebration Station will now be hosted at Exquisite Events Enrichment Center. LLC.

Absolutely! Our Party in a box and gift drop-off services will still be offered. Delivering smiles across the Coast since 2012.
